Maritime Transportation

MGM has three decades of experience in chartering ships. We focus our maritime transport around the type of cargo. Our operations are almost exclusively dry bulk. However, sometimes we handle containers if circumstances require.

Each cargo has its own requirements that must be respected and translated into maritime transport.

Our Ships

The ships, all different, often have specificities that make them more suitable for certain types of cargo, ports, or operations.

We have access to a fleet of ships ranging from the smallest with a loading capacity of approximately 1,500 tonnes to Panamax-type vessels, which carry around 80,000 tonnes.

This wide selection allows us to choose the best ship option for each operation, as each operation has its own specificities and challenges.

Very heavy products like steel require very strong ship holds to support a very high weight on a relatively small surface. Our ship, the Antonella, is certified to carry steel coils weighing up to 40 tonnes each!

Baled products, such as some waste materials, are loaded into holds with perfectly rectangular sections to optimize geometries. There are several ships we can use for this purpose.

We are capable of loading and transporting pulverized products using sealed holds and pumping systems for loading and unloading.

The most important thing is to always respect regulations, maritime law, and the restrictions of port authorities.
